ABOUT CORO ROBOT:
- Coro-bot is a robot which would dispense food, water and medicines to corona patients in their wards without necessity of physical presence of nurses and other care-givers.
- Coro-bot cuts away the requirement of physical contact of nurses and ward boys with the patient.
- It can interact with them by using camera.
- Patients are cautioned through audio reminders to sanitise their hands before they pick up things from trays.
- It was developed by an engineer from Thane.
ABOUT COVID BEEP:
- Union Minister Jitendra Singh has launched ‘COVID BEEP’ app, India’s 1st indigenous wireless physiological parameters monitoring system facilitated for COVID-19 affected patients.
- “COVID BEEP” stands for Continuous Oxygenation & Vital Information Detection Biomed ECIL ESIC Pod.
- The COVID BEEP has incorporated NIBP (non-invasive blood pressure) monitoring, ECG (electrocardiogram) monitoring and the respiratory rate.
- It will greatly reduce the transmission risk as well as help save resources like personal protective equipment (PPEs).
