Why in news?

• Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi distributed 700 bee boxes to 70 migrant workers in Uttar Pradesh, providing them with livelihood opportunity under the 'Honey Mission'.

About Honey Mission:

• Honey Mission was launched in August 2017 with the aim of employing youth through training in honey keeping.
• It is implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under MSMEs ministry.
• KVIC provides credit for setting up units of processing, packaging and labelling units for the honey produced under the mission.
