The Countries:

• Central America consists of seven countries: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

Borders and neighbours:

• It is bordered by Mexico to the north, Colombia to the southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the east, Gulf of Mexico lies to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south.

• Except El Salvador and Belize, all nations have both Pacific and Atlantic coasts.
